What the readings tell you
Combustion ratio drifting from the manufacturer window means the burner, the gas rate or the air path is changing, and it shows up long before the boiler starts failing. A falling expansion vessel charge explains a system that keeps losing pressure. A condensate trap that is filling with sludge explains intermittent lockouts in cold weather. None of that is visible without taking the readings.
